Good thinking. In my experience its the lowe power bikes that are actually the most fun. You can almost ride all out and still be barely over the speed limit. My friend has a CB250 that he rides everywhere, he has no trouble keeping up with the group and it gets over 70mpg.
Good luck with the bike purchase

Wordness.
By the way, I'm curious to know.....During the maximum braking evaluation...I got an .87 in braking distance......can anybody please translate?

What is this crap?
Re: (Numba1 B Series)
sounds like some ratio of target stopping distance to your actual.
it's something like at 15mph, you should be able to stop in 20 feet. You stopped in 23feet.
20 feet / 23 feet = 0.87, which is then multiplied by how many points the test is worth, say 15 of the 100 possible points in the entire test. so 15 x .87 = 13 points.
just making this up but that's what i think they're saying. had you stopped in 20 feet exactly, you'd have gotten full points for that event.

Hmm...but I wasn't docked off points in that section though....I got a 97/100 for the entire evaluation.
The only thing I got docked off was my cornering...I didn't look up but still did the outside-inside-outside and accelerated through the corner like the racer I am.
So basically, the .87 meant I didn't brake enough?
Looks like I need to flex my cat like reflexes.

Re: (Numba1 B Series)
Question.
If I were to purchase an old dirtbike and plan on using it for the roads.
Would installing headlights, brakelights, and turn signals be a pain?
I just want to get out there and ride!

Depends on the state. Some are lenient, requiring only a bill of sale and headlight/horn/turnsignals/stoplamp to register it for the street. Most won't allow a non-street titled motorcycle to be registered. What bike did you have in mind?
A good option for you might be a dual sport, I myself am in the market for a small cc machine, take a look at the Kawasaki KLR250, Suzuki DR200/350, and the Yamaha XT225. They can be had for $1k-$2k, depending on year/condition.

1 point for going to slow on the turn/curve part. Had I been .01 faster, I would have gotten 0 points.

Was that the only point docked off?
I got 3 points taken off for unstable throttling.
Other than that, I did fine.
So you must have gotten a 99?

Yea. Just that 1 point.
I feel like I got really good at throttle control through the corners, but that was also on a 250cc bike.
