Debating if I should buy a 2019 Odyssey EX, LX, or different vehicle?
I was all set to purchase an 2019 Odyssey EX when I saw a Facebook ad for the Odyssey, and tons of people in the comments section of the ad complained about how their automatic sliding doors got stuck, had to be fixed, etc ... on cars with less than 1000 miles on them. Some people said they wished they'd never purchased the vehicle. Then I read other similar reviews online.
I currently own a 1999 Odyssey with 180,000 miles on it and love it, but it's showing it's age so I'd like to get a new vehicle.
I then test drove a 2018 Highlander. That vehicle has a higher reliability rating on Consumer Reports and US News than the Odyssey does ... however of course it does not have the space or the comfort level of the Odyssey.
Then I contemplated getting an LX because it does not have power sliding doors - but alas the turning radius on the LX is 19.82 - a foot greater than the 18.35 turning radius of the EX.
Does anyone here have a 2019 Odyssey and like it, or are mechanical problems common? (People also complained about other items not working.)
Thanks.
