2008 Odyssey Tranny & Radiator Replacement
So, question for any Honda knowledged tech that could please give me advice! Just paid a local tranny shop to replace our transmission and radiator after it blew up. No check engine light was on, just wouldn't go into gear. After quotes increased 3 times, and 2 weeks to repair, I pick up my van to find a check engine light on. They read it and say its the coolant temperature sensor, and when they check it out they realize they only plugged 1 in and not the second. They plugged it in, cleared it, and I went on my way. They call me next day to say they forgot to put my engine cover on, so when I go to drive back the following day, the check engine light is on again. Code reader gives same code, and he says sensor 2 isnt reading correctly, has 20 degrees difference, so probably it is bad and needs to be replaced. They gave me a quote for another $200!! Is it possible the sensor went bad because they test drove my van with it unplugged? Or is it just another thing that went wrong and I shouldn't fight? Thanks in advance!
