2006 Ridgeline
99,500 miles, replaced Timing Belt and Water Pump. Started getting Crankshaft Sensors codes. Replaced Sensor, still getting codes and shut downs (temporary till restart). Took apart and checked all Timing Marks - all TDC. Still getting codes and shut downs. Have to restart 5-8 times when the weather is really cold. Suggestions welcome.
Also , get the VTM4 light at the same time as Engine light although it goes out on restart - until next time. Once the engine is warm not problems.

Make sure it ain't burning oil.
Piston scuffing or slap from a bad engine core ( substandard metal ) will cause problems in the cylinders and burn oil causing problems in the egr and small passage ways getting clogged.
Check the spark plugs for oil or burnt deposits.
It will cause all kinds of problems on the sensors.
Means an engine overhaul and not with a Honda short block.
There may be a few old NOS blocks lying around that are still crap.
Better to get your own block re-sleeved with quality metal and good pistons/rings followed to Honda specs.
Then other parts will have to be thoroughly cleaned of all oil and blocked passages and new sensors/cat that were damaged from the oil.
Hopefully this isn't your problem but your year and 2007 where the ones for the bad blocks.
Going to set you back about $ 3500 in parts on the cheap side if you do most of the work and farm out the rest to the machine shop.
Google is your friend here.
