New Member Introduction

Hi all!

I purchased my 2011 Crystal Black Pearl CRZ the beginning of this month, and I'm very happy to have it. It has a little of everything that I need. This is my first Honda as I've usually owned Nissans or Mazdas.

I like it a lot. I'm more active at www.crzforum.com. If you want to know more about this car visit the forum and look around.

What most of us CRZ owners like about the car is the balance between fun and economical.

Hello Everybody,
New to this forum. Owner of 2013 6MT, Crystal Black (easier to hide from the cops.. LOL) and loving it. So many people comment on how nice of a car it is. Many have never seen one. Love to be unique! Had my baby for 3 mo. now and already have 4k on it. As I tell everyone, "I Bought my Free car". Figure the gas I save from not driving my Expedition pays for the gas, Insurance and car payment. Can't beat that!

Great looking CR-Z. Painting the front air dam black really makes a difference. It sets it off while breaking up that massive front end. Smart. What else have you done?

Thanks. It's actually the JDP Engineering grille cover on the front.

My current parts list is:

Seeker Front Lip
JDP Carbon Fiber Grill Cover
JDP Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler
Spoon Turbulator
Noblesse Center Exit Exhaust
NRG Carbon Fiber Heavyweight Shift Knob
Buddy Club Short Shifter
Black Label Fabrication Cold Air Intake
T1R Test Pipe
Spoon CR93
Spoon Sports Motor Rib
Basis Sport Design Rear Sway Bar
Cusco Rear Strut Bar
Stoptech RSX Type-S Front Brake Pads and Slotted Rotors
Tein Street Basis Coilovers

There's probably some other stuff too that I'm not thinking of.

After owning Nissans and Mazdas, what was it that brought you to purchase a CR-Z? Or what caught your attention?

Hybrids require no smog in California and also the frs and brz at the time were 30,000 so bought the Crz and a house

Re: New Member Introduction

Wanted a car that gets around 40mpg and is manual. CRZ is one of the very few hybrids that come in manual. Mine gets around 39-42mpg and is manual. It looks and drives great. There are not many around as typically 16K are sold in the states yearly, compared to a civic that is 300K + sold in the states. It is not that expensive and just a few hundred dollars more this year with all the updated mods made it my choice.

Might as well post up and say hi! Had it since December of 2012, and succeeded on getting it track ready for this summer.

When I was looking for a new car my only requirement was that it needed to be manual transmission. So I looked around my area and the CRZ was the best deal around. The purchase was more of an impulse buy because I did not do any research at all about the CRZ.

Removes interior for weight savings.
Adds cage.
Car is slower than anything else on the track.

Does not compute.
