Honda Insight project Questions?

Honda Insight project Questions?
Does anyone know if its possible to utilize the gen 1 insight engine in an S2000 configuration?
I was kicking around the idea of converting an old Triumph GT6 that I have in the shop to a Honda gen 1 powered GT6. My main issue is whether I can get the engine to run in a longitudinal format and whether it would run with a different transmission from the GT6. The original GT6 was a front engined rear wheel drive sports car that had a straight 6 engine up front that produced around 100 hp and weighed 400lbs. It managed to get around 27mpg with that engine. So my thought was to drop in the light weight insight engine and turbo charge it so it would have comparable horsepower and enjoy the enhanced reliability of the Honda engine with greatly increased fuel economy of the 1.0L engine.
The other option is to retain the complete insight drive train and make the GT6 mid engined rear wheel drive but I think that would be more work since I would have to completely re engineer the rear suspension geometry. In a way it would resemble the Honda beat in this fashion but lighter and with better MPG potential.
So I am a little unsure which way to go with this any suggestions or advice would be great.

Re: Honda Insight project Questions?
Green, anything is possible with enough money and fabrication.
If you really want some answers, go to www.insightcentral.net and you will find some people with great knowledge on the Gen 1 Insight.
Some interesting swaps have started appearing on there also...
