Honda Insight 2001 Possible Stuck Gas Gauge

Honda Insight 2001 Possible Stuck Gas Gauge
Hi, I filled up my gas tank 104 miles ago and it hasn't moved from full yet. I get about 50-ish (give or take) miles to the gallon, so it should have dropped by at least 1.5 - 2 gallons on the gauge. It has not done this. I have tried looking up information on this issue and there is nothing of use to be found on searching. The only things that pops up or take over my search are fuel gauge fixes for Honda Accords. So, does anyone here know anything about this particular issue? Would be even better if there was someone who has fixed this issue before and would know how. Nudges in the right direction are awesome.
Thanks for any replies and, DEFINITELY, thanks for anyone who can help me solve this problem. At this moment, there is not really anything to work with as far as internet searches are bringing up...unfortunately. Until this can be solved, I will have to manually keep track of mileage to know when I need to put gas into it again. Is it possible that it could correct itself after I put another tank of gas in it? I know that is a bit of a stretch ask for it to do, but just curious if that was a possibility.

I was getting 500-600 miles between fill ups. It was not uncommon for the first bar to go 100-140 miles before dropping. The gauge is not very linear.

Re: Honda Insight 2001 Possible Stuck Gas Gauge
I put a lot of work into it lately, including putting a new IMA battery. The thought never crossed my mind, but it could be getting much better gas mileage since it's got a new IMA battery. Is that about the right mindset? Before it was getting about 40-50 miles a gallon, maybe it significantly went up since it isn't running on a bum battery anymore. I'll let it go some more and will see if it starts to move or not. If I drive about another hundred miles and it hasn't gone down yet, then I know that this is an actual problem. Thanks for the reply, it let that thought don on me. I'll make a post on this thread about it here in a few days, hopefully that is the case.

Also, this is going to seem like a dumb question, but is there a way to tell if a Honda Insight is a normal Automatic or a CVT? I was wondering for the purposes of understanding the possible MPG ranges. They actually, have a pretty decent gap in their capabilities. Knowing this might help me understand things a bit clearer when it comes to this vehicle.

First Gen Insights in the automatic trim were all CVTs. There was no other option. You ether got a a 5 speed manual or a CVT.
