You mean like this one.

Had a K20 in it. It looked like the mounts were all stock Honda mounts.

I would like to find a chip for it that would allow me to manually use the IMA ... my battery never gets below 89% charge .. ever. That is a lot of extra juice that I would like to use.

It would be cool to also put a bigger IMA in it

It is the first Hybrid ever and Honda went conservative on it ..

anyone see the mail truck on speedvision, couldn't get down the track because it kept snapping **** in the drivetrain because it had sooo much torque. Btw cars will get really fast when they come out with fusion. fusion is transfering energy wirelessly. they can only transfer data currently. imagine ur car being powered by a powerplant 400 miles away? just giant electric motors on each wheel. no gas, no batteries, no nothin. just step on the gas and go, and go really really fast cause your car will weigh nothing.

I don't think you could make a 9 second Insight be street legal. The one he's referring to is probably a drag-only car with a welded diff or something.

the k20 insight would be nice. why wouldn't it be street-legal?</TD></TR></TABLE>

I found a supercharger type thing that will work on the hybrid; however, it is still in its beta phase. Check out its site here:

http://www.boosthead.com/faq.php

Maybe finally I can get my civic hybrid to three digit whp numbers

I stumbled onto a website once from honda. A new crx is supposed to be coming out in 06. it looks almost exactly like the insight except w/o rear wheel covers. They're supposed to have 2 models, one with 160 hp. no torque just like civics, and one with 180 hp and no torque. also supposed to be 2000lbs+ . the concept of the crx is it was light.
Mine's for sale, good conditon. all new chassis components +everything from the flywheel to the hubs. 2k

Ask Norris Prayoonto from Nu-Image Autosports in Newington, VA. He races an Insight that does 9 or 10 secs in the 1/4.

I believed he put in the K motor from the SI. I don't have any pics though. Once they installed the motor, it did low 10's stock.

Its 1800lbs, and has 140hp. Not too bad.

However, the current Insight has 98hp and weighs roughly 2700lbs...rofl

high performance insight? easy! throw a K-series in it and a turbo - that would be about 3-4 days of work... if that.
or if you have some tools and a couple weeks... chop it up... tube chassis, build a K, big turbo, 1000hp. and have fun with it

Love at first sight?

1.5L + IMA + 6 speed = 2010 CR-Z.
