Eibach K24 CR-Z update & track footage
We've had our Eibach CR-Z over at Hasport for the past few months to have them install a K24A2 engine with their newly designed mount kit. After getting the car back we are VERY impressed with the work they've done and cleanliness of the swap. The car right now has a stock K24A2 long block with '06 Si Intake Manifold, ECU, Trans, Engine Harness, Hasport mounts, DC Sports Header and Hondata Flash Pro 2. Tuned the car is making 215whp and is 155lbs lighter over the hybrid engine and batteries.
Once the car came back to Eibach we had our Pro Street-S coilovers re-valved to match 500lb front springs and 600lb rears. We also installed a prototype rear sway bar onto the car but had to remove the front sway bar due to the DC header hanging too low since it was made for the Si. A custom header is in the works to take care of this issue.
The car needs some more work and suspension tuning but we are very happy with how the car performed on its first time out at the track. The power band is very linear and this set up has tons of potential. We plan on taking the car back out Chuckwalla and Streets of Willow next month so stay tuned!
One lap around Chuckwalla Valley Raceway on 1/18/12.

Some photos our friend Scott took of the car earlier today.
There's a reason Honda didn't sell them like this, because it's sofa king fast. :p
A look at the Hasport engine mounts. The top hole is for a K20, bottom hole for K24: brilliant!
Ground clearance is excellent, the subframe is lower than the oil pan or transmission:
Exhaust/muffler exits in the center/middle of car with a turndown:
Cargo capacity increased, a lot :p

One of the pictures above shows the "muffler" we have on it. It's basically a Magnaflow resonator with a turn down tip that exits just below the e-brake.

Re: Eibach K24 CR-Z update & track footage
We took our CR-Z to Streets of Willow for the first event of the HFF Challenge Series this past weekend. The car ran great with a few upgrades we did since the last event at Chuckwalla last month. The car is now sporting new Eibach Multi Pro R2 coilovers with new rates and more camber.
We are still having VSA issues with the older '06 Civic Si ECU we are using which does not have VSA. For this reason we cannot disable the VSA without disabling ABS. Even with the small issues we are still very happy with how the car is coming together. Our best time of day was 1:30.5.
More pictues and video to come as well. Here are some shots my friend Scott took for us yesterday.

A 1:30 on the big track is scary fast. those are fast street bike times.
A fast fwd honda on the streets of willow track will be in the 1:26 range. Considering we are still working out the little bugs with the car i think its safe to say we are off to a great start.

AWESOME!
Can this still be registered for street use without the Hybrid equipment installed?
Any idea if the upcoming mounts are designed to work with the Hybrid system?
