Yes, It's basically the same hybrid motor. The full tune has forged pistons, metal head gasket, and rods. They also drilled in dowels to protect the sleeves from vibration.
At the end, the builder commented that the modifications enhanced the charging efficiency of the batteries.
You can actually buy this kit from HKS

2 - Power check
wondering how long the engine lasts...
hope no other newb guys thinks it will last forever...

I've started experimenting with hybrid power on paper; I can't wait to build something more badass than this. I wonder if anyone has done anything with a crosstour or zdx yet.

If you drove it like a DD and didn't wot it all the time it would probably last as long as the stock one... But you're never gonna pay that kind of money to get the car to 350hp and not use it...

1. The SC was swapped for a larger one
2. changed the pulley from 100mm to 90mm
3. changed the pulley again from 90mm to 85mm until he was able to achieve 10,000rpms on the compressor
4. TONS of computer tuning which he explained was the most tedious and time consuming part.
BTW...there are more parts to this.
here is part 4 which shows the straight pipe side exhaust(no muffler; no cat)
