can i remove cr-z front license plate holder without damaging bumper, i am concerned the car is 2011 if i remove it you can tell where it was or not?

I have a 2014 cr-z and I just removed mine. I'm not sure if it is the same for 2011 or not, but I don't see why it wouldn't be the same? It was just 6 screws to take out. 4 for the plates and 2 for the plate holder. Hope that helps.
