pics of 17s with stock suspension
i tried the search and nothing. the reason i ask for this is that the wife and i got an 08 fit and she wont let me lower it. being that two of the last three cars weve had could barely climb over speed bumps she vows to keep the fit at stock height. i might be able to convince her to let me get some 17s but i wanna make sure that if i get them they dont look silly at stock ride height. looking to run some 45 series tires to close some wheel gap(artificial lowering)
pics of what im used to!

Re: pics of 17s with stock suspension (runhopskipendub)
The first week on my mum's fit. 17x8 +40 with 225/40 F and 205/40 R
Now on Swift Springs and 17x8 +40F / +35R with 225/40
To give you an idea...though you should drop it at least an inch with 17s. The Fit has ample ground clearance...but stock wheel gap is horrendous

That depends entirely on the width of wheel and size of tires being used.

What tire size are you using?

im avoiding the 35 series tires as that will probably increase wheel gap. i think that was the problem on the AP with the white wheels.

^FF needs more grip up front to decrease understeer. More grip in rear increases understeer.
And this is what I did with mum's by adding 5mm space on rear. All for looks and flushness...nothing special.

17x7 +35: Front 2mm past fenders (flush) and rears 13mm until flush. You're going to use a 20mm spacer?
That'll make them +15...I'm assuming they're being used on the rears so it will extend 7mm past fenders.
FLUSH
17x8 +40F / +35R: Front extends 10mm past fender and rears are flush.
Here's a couple shots:

OEM is 195/55: 23.44 height
205/40 is: 23.45 height (Same as OEM)
215/40 is: 23.77 height (0.33" difference) Gains 0.165" for ground clearance and towards fender...
Not much is done to close the fender space. You still have OEM wheel gap.
