No clue. Lol. 400 isnt bad. Pull the trigger and have the shop do it then my man. Do you hear the noise when you are in gear? A bad isb will make the noise if your in neutral or in a gear. Itll be certain rpms, but you can still hear it.

It is silent in gear. No whistling or anything that sounds like an ISB. He said it is probably clacking up against the pressure plate in neutral and then it goes away when the clutch is engaged. So I'm going in to drop the car off Tuesday.

I have a secondary issue now. I'll start a new thread for those who use the search feature.

So the install went smoothly. The rattling noise is gone and the car runs 'like a top' as they say on Craigslist. It was a beat up throwout bearing. The Exedy OE replacement clutch feels amazing and either the car shifts better with the Honda MTF or I just got use to driving a much older stick in the two days I didn't have the Fit.

I highly suggest the Exedy kit for these cars and Honda MTF is great. The shop did say the clutch that was in there wasn't very worn and that the flywheel was very true. He resurfaced it but he said it held up very well to the straight edge. The bearing was just kaputs.

That's interesting. I'll have to log that one away for future reference. Thanks much for letting us know how it worked out.

Someone came in with a suggestion that checked out equally on my google search! I'm sorry. haha.

Any bearing in the transmission should make more noise as the transmission spins. That's what I've learned. Mine was silent while moving, so it didn't make sense for it to be anything in the transmission.
