Honda Jazz ABS/Bearing Problems
Hey guys,
Hoping someone can give some advice on an ABS/Bearing issue I've got.
I have a 2004 Honda Jazz/Fit.
Front right wheel bearing was playing up so had it replaced. After replacing the ABS Light came on straight away. Took it back to the garage and they said the sensor was damaged and to replace (didn't tell me this when I drove off..). I replaced the sensor and the light was still on. I tool it to another garage who ran some diagnostics and then advised the ABS pump was faulty so then I've had this replaced. Guess what.. The ABS light is still on.
I've since borrowed a basic diagnostic tool and can see that there is an error with the front right pulsar. I can also see that when the abs is active (but not engaged ie driving but not braking), the front right inlet valve is showing as on, whereas the left is showing as off. After a while, the ABS disables completely wherein they both show as off. When I do brake, and the abs is active, it feels like the front right wheel is catching. When it's disables breaking is fine/smooth.
Gut feel is the bearing replacement was botched but struggling for a definitive diagnosis.
Any suggestion or help would be appreciated. May just book in for some diagnostics with Honda directly but thought I'd ask on here first..
