Default Debating on buying a used Fit when I sell my S2000. What should I look out for?

Searched for a buyer's guide or tips thread on here and couldn't find much.

Like the title says, I'm debating on buying a Fit. Are there any common problems with the various models or anything I should specifically look out for if I find one? I'm very familiar with all of the usual stuff, been wrenching on cars for years, just don't have any experience with the Fit.

Any help or info would be greatly appreciated!

All fits have little to no issues, just an occasional squeak from the interior plastics or hatch. If you do get one, get the sport. 2007-2008 are the GD3 and 2009-2013 are the GE8. More info can be found on fitfreak.net.

Default What to look out for? Hmm...let me think...

I have an '07 GD3, and have been enjoying a fairly trouble-free experience other than having to replace a couple of coilpacks during my 210K miles of ownership.
In your case, going from an S2000 to a Fit, you may notice that objects in your rear view mirror may appear to be approaching faster than before.

I've only had my GE (2010) for about two months now but the only item that I can think of is the underpowered A/C plus living in TX probably doesn't help. Oh yeah and almost falling over ever time I get in the car because there is no armrest to lean on. I've got use to it but I'll be getting one soon. I also opted for a 5-speed and I'm getting 38-40 mpg.

oh, i fully expect it to be a total scumbag in the speed department. lol. although i remember riding in my friend's fit many years ago when they first came out, and it didn't seem too bad, especially for what it was.

210k on some stock coilpacks is really good, especially if that's the only thing you've had to replace.

I don't really think there's one specific thing anyone could tell you to watch out for. They're pretty well built vehicles. I had to have a door lock actuator replaced in my '09, and had the lost motion assembly recall done...never had a single other problem.

Obvious leaks and any noise from the valve train. Bought one after seeing little issues arise from various owners
