Default Dead 2009 Honda Fit auto

My wife went to start the Fit yesterday and....nothing. No dashlights, no turnover or clicking, nothing. Tried to jump it, nothing. Battery is turning out about 10 volts, which while not great, seems like it should at least do something. The only things that work are the brake lights. Can't even put it in neutral.

Any ideas?

Put in new battery...now the horn works along with the brake lights.
Some kind of electronic component fried maybe?

You guys called it. It was the battery fuse; looked fine until put a light behind it. I replaced it, but I can't help wondering what caused it to go, and whether it will go again...

that particular fuse will blow when the battery is jumped backwards. Most likely the battery died and then it was jumped backwards and caused the fuse
to blow.

If this is what happened then you got ****in lucky. I know plenty of people who have jumped the battery backwords and blew ALL their electronics in their car. I had a class with someone who worked for AAA and jumped a lexus backwards and blew her GPS/headunit, has to pay for it out of pocket else his boss was going to fire him. Hahaha, he owes her like $3,000 for everything now.

coincident. my friend and i were looking at a brand new lexus is-350 and is-F.
is it that easy to reverse the wiring? its scary to think that because the car has so much electrical components. the salesman explained that there is a lot of electrical comfort accessories that i cant imagine to think that if they went out how much $$$ to repair.

you gotta be a dumb *** to jump it backwards, all batterys and terminals especially oem are clearly marked + & - and so are jumper cables along with being marked + & - and they are color coded red and black

Not only that, but the proper way to jump a battery, the car with the dead battery should only have the positive connected and the negative should be clamped to a ground.
