Coolant temperature sensor

Hi, I have a 2008 Honda Fit. I tried to locate the Coolant Temperature Sensor and change it but I couldn't find it. Can anyone tell where I can find it and how to change it?
Many thanks!

Re: Coolant temperature sensor

There are two Engine Coolant Temperature sensors; ECT 1 and ECT 2.

ECT 1 is located on the cylinder head below the throttle body and ECT 2 is located at the bottom of the radiator.

Dear tech8,

Many thanks for answering the question. Do you happen to have a photo for the location of ECT2 senor? I tried to locate it but had no luck.
Do I need to drain the coolant before I take off the sensor?

Thanks again!

Re: Coolant temperature sensor

It is at the bottom of the radiator on the passenger side (right side). Normally, the coolant is drained; however, if you do it quickly enough, you won't have to drain it all. Part # 13 in parts diagram.
