Default Assembly plant marked with X

Hi Everyone,

I've recently bought a Honda Jazz, and I was curious to find out which assembly plant made it. The initial letters of the VIN number (JHMGK3870HX??????) indicate that it was made in Japan, but I couldn't find the plant marked by "X" in the wiki list https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ssembly_plants . My guess would be the Yorii plant, as it is known to make Jazzes for export, and it doesn't have a code in the list. Does anyone have any firmer info?

Thanks
TTT

Yorii is the only plant in Japan listed as manufacturing the current gen Fit/Jazz (assuming from the 'H' in your VIN that you have a '17), and JHM definitely indicates manufactured in Japan. So even though I couldn't locate anything to prove it, seems almost certain that you're correct.

Hi scelestus,

Thanks for the additional info, it does seem to support my guess... Too bad Honda doesn't publish this kind of data, I'm sure I'm not the only one curious to see where his car was made
