Steering Wheel Swap. Cruise wiring.
I swapped a DC5 steering wheel into my Element and I'm trying to get the cruise working. The clips don't match up so I have to cut the clip off the Element side and wire it to the DC5 Cruise clip. The Element horn clip has 2 wires that come off it (common ground?) and the DC5 Wheel only has 1 wire to the horn clip. There are 9 pins from the reel but the wires are the same colors so that doesn't help. The pinouts are also in different positions from the DC5 to the Element on the reel.
The DC5 Reel uses 1 2 3 for the cruise and 4 is the horn. 5 is empty and 6-9 is the SRS clip. On the Element Reel 1 is Empty and 2 3 4 are cruise with 5 being for the horn. 6-9 is SRS.
Anyone have any insight? Wiring diagrams for both Reels?
Berz out.
