squirrels fighting sound when AWD engaged 2001 Auto
i have a 2001 automatic AWD CRV, whenever the AWD engages from slick roads there is a strange sound that the CRV makes. The best thing that I could use to discribe the sound, is that it sounds like two squirrels are fighting under the CRV.
It it has done this for the past year (when I bought it), and doesn't seem to cause any issues, the AWD works like you would expect, just concerned as to what maybe making the noise.
getting ready to swap out the brakes, tires, and oil change this week (not related to sound), is there something else I could swap out to fix this issue.
thanks for any ideas

CR-Vs use Dual Pump fluid for their rear diff. Be sure to use ONLY the correct fluid. Seen a few diffs ruined due to wrong fluid.
