Honda re-manfactured CRV transmission
About a month ago My daughters CRV transmission pooped out. After research and asking a mechanic friend I decided to go with a Honda re manfactured transmission. It appears to be working well. I did find an odd issue. The dipstick for the transmission is now on the back of the engine compartment rather than the front of the car as it was before. It appears that it will require removing the air box to be able to check the transmission fluid. Any ideas of why this is this way?

Can you still get the old dipstick tube back from the place you gave your core to??? The transmission may actually fit several different years of your vehicle and maybe even other vehicle models and those dipstick tubes are different than your original.
You can remove it and have it re-bent to a new location, it will still be the same overall length and still show the proper level of fluid.
Worse case tell them they installed the wrong tube and to pony up for the correct one, see what they say. They dont care where the dipstick is, they dont have to check it all the time.

i have a 2001 honda CR-V and the transmission dipstick is slightly under the airbox, but thats not to say that i cant get to it, its just in an inconvenient place. the handle on it has a little bend and i am able to check it when ever i want without removing anything. i would say go back to the dealer or where you had it put in and have them show you how to check it. i would think u would have to remove anything. good luck.
