Icon5 headlight electrical troubles

On a 2006 CR-V driver's side I just replaced the low beam lamp due to a broken filament. As I inserted the new bulb, I caused a spark. The new bulb illuminates but very dim. And, now, both high beams are on (yes illuminated) but only barely while in the low beam mode ( I don't recall ever seeing the high beams partly illuminated at all when in low beam mode). In the high beam mode both passenger side highs and lows illuminate as intended. Plus! the blue high beam indicator light on the dash board is gone, whether in high beam or low beam mode. Baffled, I am. What did I screw up by making the spark? Grateful for any guidance. I suspect a short. Have I messed up some relay? My daily drives to and from work in the dark through heavy deer country are about to get, well, even more nerve-racking.

Default Re: headlight electrical troubles

You probably caused a short and blown a fuse. Check under-hood Fuse No. 15 (20A).
