Default Gas mileage loss with 215/75/15's?

got the stock 205/70/15's on there now...need new tires. How much do you think my gas mileage will suffer if I put 215/75/15's on there?

Thats almost 18mm more sidewall. Its gonna look really strange with that much more rubber. Not to mention your speedo will be off. Factors that are going to affect your mileage is going to be: additional weight of the tire, type of tire, difference in rubber compound. If you wanna goto 215's I would suggest a 215/65/15. That would be only 3mm less sidewall than you have now. Or you could go 215/70/15 if you can deal with 7mm more rubber. There is no way to tell you exactly what the mileage difference will be, especially without the proper info

Good post. Having said that to the OP, I don't think you would notice a gas mileage difference unless you went huge oversize. I have a civic with a GSR motor and I have experamented with a bunch of different tire sizes and none of them affected gas mileage at all.

I guess I should add its a 97 automatic tranny Awd...
Also going to do the Old Man Emu lift springs.
I'm also looking at a 205/75/15 and 215/70/15's it just depends on which size I want then what tire is available in that size.
I really like the Yokohama Geolander AT/S...
