You can get the EDM front bumper from honda. A search will give you the part number.
As for the disc brake conversion, ive been thinking the same thing. I remember somewhere on jdmrides.ca someone putting crv drum brakes on their civic just to have something different, but still a 5 lug upgrade. It would take some searching to find it.
::EDIT::
I should add, the point i was getting at is if the crv drum brakes can be put on a civic, and 5 bolt integra disc brakes can be put on a civic, then somehow the integra disc brakes should be able to go on a crv.

you could either use prelude or legend rear disc set up, the only problem is that you have to
fabricate your caliper brackets, so basically any 5 lug rear disc set up just make that bracket
and your good to go! ive been wanting to do this set up but cant get the time to dabble on this,
so good luck if ever you go through this project...
the guy who did it before quoted me for a price from his machine shop to make the caliper
bracket but we lost contact, thats one of the reason i never got a chance to work on this!
hope this helps..atleast give you an idea..

drum brakes provide more force than disc. greater contact area.
only drawback really is the inability to dissipate heat, because of confinement. that, and discs are easier to service. and look nicer, of course

I hate drums purely for the increased difficulty to service. That and the look.
In this day and age, there is no reason for a passenger vehicle to have drum brakes.

Re: disc brake conversion on 1st gen crv?
So You swap out to discs in the back... Then what? You still need to change the proportioning valve in the front, or the rears are still only going to be what, 20% of your braking force, which = a waste. You would need to get to 40-50% to make it worth it. Will the ctr or itr valve fit like the crv like on a civic? Maybe, but i dont think anyone has actually checked model numbers.

^^
i think the guy who did the white one used a 40/40 prop valve.....!?!?
i really want this but in my case right now, i dont need it may be later if i feel more comfy pushing
my V on the track/road course but when that happen.. i think my civic would satisfy my speed "fix"
rather using my V.. im just enjoying my V thats why i still bring it more often to the track/road course
and i could haul my bbq grill/smoker on it compared to the civic...LOL!

Re: disc brake conversion on 1st gen crv?
sorry to revive a old post, but was wondering on this as well, i like the disc look and there soooo much easier to service, im about to do my first drum service in my life, all my vehicles either were sold before they needed service or (for the majority) had rear disc, my eg civic had rear disc with a 40/40 valve, that thing stopped! lol ... one day ill try this

Re: disc brake conversion on 1st gen crv?
take a look at 2nd gen Vs....
you could pretty much get all parts from there, as stated before.. all you need is to modify/fabricate
a bracket to hold the calipers, at one point i stripped down one side of the drum brake and just to see
how it could be done...
all we somewhat come up is that after removing the drum brake set, we could leave the back plate and
somewhat drill the brackets from a gen2 crv there.. its somewhat similar since the gen2 has the
rear diff too... compared to the original guys who did the conversion, he used prelude or acura legend...
he once gave me a price on the brackets i think its around 300!?!? but thats 4-5yrs ago...
then never heard from the guy again.. thats why i never got into dabbing this conversion...
good luck on whoever wants to start this again!!

Re: disc brake conversion on 1st gen crv?
integra typeR 5 lug trailing arm worked fine! a bit of mods and fab to make the rear diff from
the rt4wd system.. none the less it worked!! i was looking unto the 2nd gen crv since its for
a rt4wd.. also the parts would be easy to source, but didnt have the time and full technical know
how to make a written build for it... good luck on those who will attempt! some guy from the
home land P.I used a 5lug conversion but made the V a FWD...
