now that im looking at it i think im going to take it to my buddy and have him cut the 4 into 1 section and weld it up farther like right after the bends and run strait 2.5in tubing back to the flange. put a plug in the original bung and weld up a new bung for the o2 sensor

yup, i think obx redesigned their crv gen1 headerss like that,
4-1 its easier to bend a single tube/pipe..

well heres the deal, i was on the phone with a guy from inline four.com and he was looking at the shocks on a scematic type pic and he said the itr rear shocks are 2in shorter than the crv. so if you were to put a crv spring on an itr shock you would automaticly get a 2in drop. if i put these gc's on my stock shock, i would just bottom out the shock. so what my new plan is, im going to order a set of itr rear koni yellows and use my ek front konis and put the gc's on the konis. im going to get 2in from the shocks alone and if i set the gc's down 2in, theres a 4in drop! i want to take my stock sus out in one piece, just in case. so i guess ill have to wait about a week or so to get these shocks.

Im gonna step in here for a sec:

I have been looking for a AWD 5 spd B series CRV for 5 years now in Fl. I found one in Mint condition from a Certified Honda Tech, I own a 95 Ej coupe with a GSR swap, Boosted, He said he would trade straight up for my coupe which is for sale for $7,000 (its minty) My questions are: Are these things worth it? Fun to drive? I have never in my life seen a 5 spd CRV in person and I want to be different, plans are Ap1 or Ap2 wheels and a nice turbo kit to go with the AWD............

i was skepticle at first but i needed a reliable car that i wouldnt want to mess with. mine is an 01' 4wd, 5spd, with 48k on it and a 3yr warrenty. but i love this thing! i put 30k on it in a year and a half. you can see my picks i took a bunch or my bros em1 parts and they fit over. like i said i didnt think there was much out there but if your resourceful you can put together somethin sick. i just need money for these rear shocks so i can update this post.

i did how ever get a new alpine head unit and an 800watt amp for it. i didnt have my camera but i will post pics soon.

@Was Go n 4 10s,
yup, its really hard to look for a 5spd crv. it took me 3mos. to locate one...
as for perf and ride, i already have one back in our country, so i knew what
its all about, i personally could say that this ride is reliable!!!
just in my experiences with it, its just me.. im pretty much sure a lot of
V owners could attest to this..
as for your trade, i think its a little loss on your side, i got my V for 4k, i know
average price with gen.1 will be aroud 5k-6k..
better yet look for a personal owner not a dealer to get you cheaper..

good luck!!
happy hunting!

I recently had my cr-v for sale for $7k and got a few serious offers for full asking price. Decided not to sell. It's a 2000 EX 5-spd with 100k on the clock.

That said, you're getting out of a modded car for $7k and into a stock one for $7k. You might be disappointed with it.

It's a great car and you can do a lot to it, but it does have its limits compared to a civic/integra. If you want one, get it for what it is and mod the heck out of it but be warned that you'll have to actually re-engineer a few parts to make it work the way you might want, not just change 'bolt ons'.

^^
welcome back sir!!!!

we've installed and test drive the typeR rear suspensions for my V,
HnR full suspension on the rear, GC-eibach coilovers on front
made a makeshift obstacle inside a private industrial compound......
drive it around for 500mi. tried every road possible, especialy bump and holes..
i wouldnt recommend it for daily use, too bad..
it might be just with our suspension tuning, we quickly installed it last wkend,
we re adjust today,, still it didnt satisfy us..
i forgot to take pics, ill ask my mechanic if he was able too..
he's dead meat the whole day today coz of that, install/reinstall the whole time!!!!

itll do the trick in my daily/weekend warrior CRV!!!

ill try to post up pic of the progress tommorrow.. hopefully!
LOL!

iwoudnt think you would get good ride quality if you just threw them on and didnt adjust them. what do you mean by hnr full suspension, like hnr shocks and springs? i didnt even know hnr made shocks. and also its not gonna feel right with toaly dif front and rear sus anyway. it might be like a pillow on the rear and a cinder block on the front. i hope you dont brake anything.

we did!!!
HnR spring on bilstein shocks on the rear, i think...
too low and bottoming on most of the time, i had my
17" Si rims on that time..
try to measure the ITR rear shocks compared to the oem,
i think its a lot short, im not sure also of the spring rate of the HnR,
we did gave it a rest this day... whew!
im bout to change my upper control arm coz i might have
wear out the bushings fast since 6mos. ago or its just really
time to replace it, coz from the looks of it it havent been touched
by the previous owner,,,,

no pics of my V in action..
coz were all dirty and busy, i cant imagine we bought
a small generator and compact compressor for the power tools,
in order for us to work directly on the compund....

talk about mad crazzy tuning!!

ima wait for my boy from our country, he said he could
hand carry my GAB full suspension set and my mechanic there
will send me a modified OHLINS suspension from a civic, idk if itll
work but its worth a try....

btw those are new ITR rear shocks and HnR lowering springs...
theyre just scratched since we need to work fast, REMOVE AND REPLACE..
then GO!

lmk bout the konis, GC-eibach in the fronts i didint have any problem..
its just that my upper control arms just gave out on me, LOL!!!!
talking bout bad timing, but its good since everything in my
suspension will be new so i would know right away what will be wrong
in the next trials....

LOL!!
i already removed the front ones, since i keep on dragging on every
humps/speed bump that i pass thru..

i kinda raise my rear a little bit for my daily use coz i dont wanna
make my exhaust hit something on the road, its hangin a little low
compared to the stock ones..idk why?
