central locking problems

central locking problems
My CRV 1999 model will not allow the central locking with the key I don't have key less entry
I've tested everything and all is working fine only when the door is open and the door latch is in the closed position then all central locking works
but as soon as you reset the latch and close the door and try to use as normal the drivers door will only lock and unlock
any ideas whats the go and how to fix
