Default 99 crv trans removal need some guidance

I've done swaps from b series d series & h. But since my bros crv is automatic (2wd) and I've never changed out an auto before. I know the basics like the 17mm bolts & removing axles & sensors but what else is there? I don't wanna go wrong here I wanna do it right the 1st time & also, is there some kind of shifter bracket or something?

It's pretty similar to a manual, just remember to disconnect the shift cable (goes in the back of the tranny) and remember to remove the bolts connecting the flexplate to the torque converter.

^^^what he said...

youll see the cable when you get under the car...i think youll have to take 2 12 or 14mm bolts off that holds the cover where the cable is mounted, then a 10mm bolt that holds the cable on the shift rod

all you have to do is take that cover off (bottom part of the tranny/block) then youll see the flexplate(flywheel) 10mm bolts.. just use a socket (19mm i think) to turn the motor, so you can get into all the bolts..

I just bought the trans and it came with the converter. Here's the the thing my bro drives it like a jackass! He fllors it & let's off the throttle quick. So now it doesn't shift into 2nd or 3rd. He's gotta drop it into 1st then he slaps it back into drive. Is it the trans that's done for sure? No matter what we got another 1 so either way I'm taking it off & swapping it.

I'm having problems getting it to go back in parking. I slapped the trans on and I think its the shifter cable sensor on the other side of the trans that seems to be the problem. It looks like I have to adjust it. I keep moving it around but no luck. It goes into drive but when I try putting it in park it get stuck it won't go up.

Yes, the Honda Factory Service Manual (FSM) for the CRV. You can find them on eBay or even for free in PDF format if you search around. I would provide a link but it's forbidden here.
