Default 99 CRV - Oil Pan Gasket leaks

I have a 99 CRV the oil pan gasket has been replaced approx. 6 times in the past yr 1/2. The gasket has been torqued to spec both installed with sealant and also installed dry. Every time that there is a leak the leak seems to be from a different location. The oil pan has been checked for warped flange It has checked to be okay. Anyone have any suggestions on how to correct this issue.

Please Note: the tabs that should have the sealant have been coated with a small layer of sealant every time.

Any suggestions regarding this issue is highly appreciated! Thank you!

Whenever I repace and oil pan gasket I scrap as much of the old gasket off with a blade as I can then use a stiff brush and degreaser to remove any left over gasket material. I also had a good friend show me a trick that seems to work. set the lip of the oil pan on the edge of a work bench right side up (like it looks when mounted on the car) and take the round end of a ball peen hammer and center it over the mounting holes and take another hammer and gently hit the ballpeen, this helps flaten the mounting holes because sometimes they get a little dimpled when bolts are torqued. Dont go crazy on it just enough to knock down any protrusion that might create a leak in the gasket once tightened. And I spread a thin layer of sealent all the way around to help hold gasket in place while mounting and add protctive barrier against leaks.
Hope this helps

Thank you so much for the response and advise I will give it a shot. Any particular sealant you would recommend?

I've tossed a few oil pans in my life soley based on how much **** was baked on the lip. I knew I wouldn't achieve a nice seal based on the imperfections. Sounds like you might have peace of mind if you spend a couple extra bucks and get a brand new oil pan.
