i was about to pick another 5spd.. theres like 2-3 avail. near my area..
but i decided to get an autobox, coz if i get another standard tranny
crv.. i may not be able to keep the engine stock, coz i still have a lot
mod parts from my previous civics and for sure.. ill get that " itch " to
mess atround w/ it...

Here it is. It's actually a 2000 model. LX AWD 5 speed with 134k miles.

I am going to look at a CRV this weekend-its a 99 2WD 5-speed-hopefully its true never thought they came 5-speed without the AWD,either that or the person that owns it is a idiot.

there are tons of 1st gen 5spd in the new england area MA/RI/NH

I'm the only one that went against the grain and opted for an auto and all I found were 5spd

I have seen so many 5-speed 1st gen CRVs too. Never thought they were a rarity.

They only stopped making the manual transmission models the last couple of years.

It's a shame, really, if you ask me. But what can you do.

I have a 2005 Honda CRV 5 speed. LOVE IT!!! test drove an automatic and it was such a pooch. This 5 speed manual transmission has some pep.

Old thread but I had a white first gen rd1 before and it was 5 speed AWD. Traded it plus cash for a Subaru WRX. Now I have another white EX 5 speed AWD. The original ad for this ride was $5500. I've seen it for a week and decided to tell the seller via text my thoughts. I told him that he was asking dealer price at $5500. He then responded and ask me my offer. I said $3000 is a great deal and $3500 is fair. We ended up with $3500. Got 186k but it was clean and was used by a senior to go golfing. It's clean inside and out. Planning on a rear spoiler and a few subtle things. I bought this because I don't plan on using my low miles 06 white Ridgeline with chrome package that much because I would like to keep it low miles. Hitting 42k on the odometer. Pretty low for a 10 or 11 year old Ridgeline.

'98 5-speed here. It gets the crap ran out of it daily, and keep on going. It's a beast in the snow. 215,000 miles and burns a quart of oil every 1,000 miles, but runs great.
