Default 2005 Element Evap Sensor Replacement

Hi everyone,

Code p1454 "EVAP Sensor Performance". I ordered the new sensor and went to put it in last night. There's a little gray retainer clip that holds the sensor in that I have no idea how to get out. I tried prying at it with a flat head and wedging it out. Does anyone have any experience with these? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
