2000CR-V engine management light
hello, I have a 2000 CR-V automatic and my engine management light is occasionally coming on.
when starting the car if it takes a little normal than usual to start then the light will come on but if it starts straight away then 90% of the time the light will stay off.
also I moved down to Melbourne where it’s colder as it started happening don’t know if that’s coincidental or not.
any suggestions as to why the light may be coming on would be grateful.

Well your first step is to check and see what codes you have stored. Report back with your trouble codes and we'll take it from there. At first pass my guess is EVAP canister purge valve or leak issue, but without knowing the stored codes I'm just throwing darts, in the dark, and instead of darts I'm throwing carrots.
