I think it's a combination of things causeing the mileage reduction . The tire height change , heavier then stock wheels , light bar and basket .I used to get 300-310 miles out of a tankful in my 100 mile per day commute . My mileage is down to 240-250 miles per tank . I know part of it is the speedometer change due to tire height but I know it more then just that . It pretty much went from 22 mile per gallon to around 18 or so . I think only a 1 to 1.5 mile per gallon loss is from the tire height change and speedo inaccuracy

has anyone tried putting on 15x8" steelies on a 2ng gen crv?
<br />Yup- last year I bought a set of black 15/8 steelies on Amazon and Blizzak winter tires. That is my Tahoe snow setup. Looks real greasy but works like a charm.

My bad- I checked and they are 15x6.5. They do look pretty sweet with 215 tires.
Tread separation on my Bridgestone dueler coming home tonight on the highway. Took out the bumper, side skirt, fender, headlight, headlight wiring, and air filter. Guess I'll be doing that tire upgrade sooner than I though
Hey everyone, it's been awhile since I visited. Looks like everyone is still active with their project with lots of sweet lifts.
Took my CRV out rallying a little while ago. Here's my fav. She's lacking power and gear ratio makes it awkward at 20-40kph. Revving high at 2nd but rpm drop too low for 3rd. Still had a blast nonetheless. The back wheels hit the fender and knocked the black trim off on both side! Crazy right?! Now looking under the fender, it almost look like the spot weld along the arc got completely separated! Need to find a way to weld some metal back in before winter haha..
Anyone try trailing without swaybar linked? I got the idea from the long travel suspension some truck uses. Looks pretty cool in video. Wheels bouncing up and down while the body stay smooth. I know it'll roll like crazy during corner so I probably won't do it.

Just got my nerf bars and hitch 😁 Was planning to install them this weekend . Then I here a ticking from engine ☹️First I thought is was chain tensioner . ..Replaced it and noise was still there ... it was over due for valve adjustment 139k figured it might be that .... pulled cover and found this . #1 exhaust cam worn badly .... after some extensive research I found out I got the typical 02-03 crv exhaust cam failure... so upset at the moment ...especially since I just dumped 1800.00 in a/c over haul from Black Death . Gonna fix it and debating about selling the damn thing

Still need some spacers to clear the front calipers, but the back seems to fit fine. I'm not in love with the look of this setup, but I'm trying to keep costs down and the Geolandars are supposed to be pretty good. Yokohama Geolandar G015 225/70R15 mounted on 15x8 steelies with 0 offset (4.5" backspacing)
Geolander AT/S are pretty good. You're not going to be doing serious offroading anyways.
Agreed. I put some pretty gnarly oversized A/T's on my other truck and really took a hit on power and fuel mileage, so I went a little more mild on this one. I also don't want the CRV to "float" on the road at high speeds like the truck does since the CRV has so much power
Had to find some longer wheel studs last night for my wheel spacers and thought I would share my setup in the event that someone else wants a cheap and easy solution. I replaced my stock front studs with Dorman 610-323 studs, which are from a Cadillac I believe. You'll have to drill out the hub holes with a 31/64 bit, but they will press in fine after that. Stock stud diameter is .487", the new studs are .504"

Would you be able to post a pic of a side view and how much poke that they have? I pick my rims up Friday and hopefully tires on Tuesday. I hate the waiting game. Also what size spacer did you need to clear the caliper? 1/4 inch?

I'll try to take one tomorrow if I have time, I can tell you they definitely don't clear the fenders. I went with 1/2" spacers because it didn't look like 1/4" would clear with these particular wheels.

LOOKS GREAT!!!! THIS HELPS ME OUT A LOT IN GETTING MY SPACERS. I PICK UP MY RIMS TOMORROW (THEY LOOK THE SAME AS YOURS PROCOMP 51) AND HOPEFULLY HAVE THEM MOUNTED FOR NEXT WEEK

My muffler fell off the other day so I thought I might as well do an up grade. Got a cat back exhaust from Yonaka (very impressed). Also has anyone looked into replacing the front CV axles with U-joints?
While I'm here what are some power upgrades you guys have done? I'm considering my options.
