Default Hydro dipped some interior pieces carbon fiber

I wanted to share what I did recently to the ol V. I bought some film and activator online and have been playing around with it. These are the first legit tries at it. They came out looking ok with minimal screw ups. Kinda has a civic type-r-ish feel to it.Let me know whatcha think.

thats kinda cool its a little too light of a carbon fiber like it doesnt match the color of the interior that much... but still nice job, what is the big blue gauge thing ? thought it was a shift light but then noticed it was an auto...

It's a stinger volt gauge, it looks blue due to the reflection from my dome lights. I agree with the light shade but with the material I've got it doesn't look good with a darker base paint. I'm gonna get some more film and try it again

ive watched a lot of videos on youtube which really sparked my interest. theres a site called mydipkit.com which sells full kits that include the primer, base, film, activator, and clear for like $69. i bought just the activator and film off of ebay and supplied my own other paint supplies. the activator can was $20 and the fim i bought was $5 a yard with $10 shipping. i bought 2 yards of carbon fiber and a yard of some skull stuff and they combined shipping. so all in all ive got $25 in film that ive done alot of stuff with. i bought a few different size plastic containers that i can dip my parts in depending on size.
