Re: yet another "CRXurection" build
am building a mild B16 motor on the side and drop it in as soon as the paint work's done
few more parts i've been collecting. complete B16A engine overhaul parts. all OEM stuff except my ebay special 0.5mm OS Nippon pistons
couple more for it's power plant upgrade...
my second set of engine building precision tools. got tired traveling with them back and forth in the other side of the globe so i bought another set instead. magnetic dial indicator stand, Belben's BVTEC cam degreeing kit, rod bolt stretch gauge, micro calipers, digital bore gauge, etc.

another area which am so excited to work on is it's entire electrical system.
i'll be using some OEM spec materials or better and reconstruct it's entire outdated electrical layout as well as materials.
a quick view on my cramped workspace as well as things to use.
rolls of oem spec color coded wires. had to ship them from UK and freight fees do suck as usual.
high temp and oil/acid/petrol resistant pvc sleeves.
enough supply of Sumitomo male/female terminals and seals to replace them old ones.
a sample engine harness for one of my customer's cars. am still using the o'l fashion flexible convoluted tubing and wrap them with 3M's 33+ high temp electrical tape. my ef has this same materials and have remained the same for the last 5+ years. cost effective enough so i'll continue to use them unless someone wants to spend more for those mil-spec materials.

Good Work dude, great build thread
Although I'm jealous, I have been in Riyadh nearly a year and still haven't seen a single CRX! my driveway is looking very empty

Reason you rebuilt your axles was due to limited supplies or something?
Bump for you.

some recent updates as it sits now....
blocked couple of holes here in there. brake and wire tuck?
I'm hoping and praying i can grab one of those used glass tops. importing stuff's such a PITA over my place if the deal pushes through, i might hold this thing for a while until the entire roof cut arrives. wish me luck!

Re: yet another "CRXurection" build
while waiting for the car's paint job completion, i've been busy scouting for some more parts.
i finally found some pieces i've been craving for so long.
NSX NA1 front brake calipers got to order them repair kits soon and a little prep work would freshen them up.
here's what the caliper repair kit contains along with the Acura part no. required. two sets needed to cover both front wheels.
am still lucky to get a hold of one of these 92-93 YS1 cable tranny's as well. this came in today and i should be swapping in some hydro/lsd internals along with the LS 5th gear for better highway cruising rpms.
i still prefer retaining the OEM cable clutch setup and no to those hydro clutch pedal conversions.

that's a very nice kit Robert!
i saw your demo thread and thanks for sharing
into the paint boot today!
~2 hours power wash and dry
master painter in action!!!
excuse the rear cross member and suspension parts for now. they'll be pulled out once the under coating process starts.

Re: yet another "CRXurection" build
the parts finally arrived.
they look awesome and mint in person. thank you so much for taking your time packing them safely.
here's some few pics i took while in rush off to my job yesterday morning. i'll take the rest of them once installed.
it would be a shame installing your wheel with my old and battered dash so i bought her a minty mint dash board as well.

Re: yet another "CRXurection" build
me too
however, i still have a lot of things ahead of me. engine rebuild and install, electrical stuff, brakes and suspension, etc.
a/c system, body and paint work are the only things i can't handle as far as working on cars.
here's more updates today.
some few more minor cosmetic corrections...
my hero, Mr. Danny the paint guy
there's four more paint coatings to go. this is just the base coat and no full and clear coats done yet so far.
i hope you enjoy and thank you for viewing.
good day everyone

Re: yet another "CRXurection" build
thanks!
pulled out the front and rear suspension parts.
prepping the under chassis area using a steel wire brush into a drill machine and a scraping tool to clean all bottom areas.
power washed the wheel wells all over. using a commercially available nylon brush and a mix of 50/50 water/dish washing soap to clean. my hands and fingers hurt
should dry overnight and under coating should follow next.
