Default Wiring Harness Information!

have you been wanting to build a new harness or modify your old one, either for a swap or a wire tuck?

i have been searching for a while for NEW parts to do just that! here is what i have so far.

Corsa-Technic.com has pins and sockets for almost all of our OBD0/OBD1 engine bay connectors. only connectors i am so far unsure about are the 2 pin distributor terminals (closest ive found for the pins, you have to break the armlock tabs off), and the OBD0 MAP/TPS terminals as to whether or not the OBD1 and OBD0 use the same pins. will update when i find out.
Corsa also has all of our common injector plugs, both male and female ends, so you can wire up different injectors to your harness, or simply create jumpers from one plug type to another. heres the list of what ive discovered at Corsa so far:250 series armlock pins (remove tab) distributor 2-pin plug?OBD0
250 series armlock socket- alternator and distributor 2 pin plugMT, HM, HW sealed series pins and sockets for engine plugs (may not work on some of the OBD0 plugs.) HW, HT, MW, DS seals and plugs

specific pin/socket numbers:
SUMI.A-SKT1 (22-16G female contact)
SUMI.A-SKT2 (12-14G femail contact)
SUMI.A-PIN1 (22-16G male contact)
SUMI.A-PIN2 (12-14G male contact)

1 pin
HW-1S Vtec solenoid plug

2 pin
HD090-2S 2 pin ECU jumper (OBD1) timing calibration jumper (OBD0)
HD090-2P receptacle for jumper ^
HM-2P OBD0 purge cut off/fast idle solenoid receptacle
HM-2S OBD0 Purge cutoff/Fast idle Plug
HW-2S-2 2 pin sensor plug (EACV, IACV, IAT, ECT, Fan switch, etc.)
HW-2S-2SL Seal for HW-2S-2
HX090-2P-3 NH-1 OBD2 injector plug for jumper harnesses
HX090-2S-3 NH-1 OBD2 injector plug
JPT-2P OBD1 injector jumper
JPT-2S OBD1 injector plug
MT-2S-4 Denso/RDX injector plug
MT-2P-4 jumper harness for Denso/RDX injectors

3 pin
HW-3S-3 MAP/TPS plug

4 pin
HW-4P 4 wire O2 sensor plug
HW-4S 4 wire O2 sensor receptacle
TS090-4S-1 OBD2 alternator plug (with terminals and seal)
250AVR-4P female OBD0/1 alternator connector (with terminals and seal) for OBD2 jumper harness
250AVR-4S male OBD0/1 alternator plug (with terminals and seal)

6 pin:
HM-6P OBD0 DPFI distributor main plug
HM-6S OBD0 DPFI distributor main receptacle

(all plugs and receptacles from Corsa-Technic are sold with pins and seals for your choice of wire gauge and insulation diameter)

and so far i have only been able to find circular connectors (such as deutsch) and ECU connectors from mouser (they have MILLIONS of pins, sockets, plugs, and connectors to sort through, so the search continues) here are the part numbers for the ECU end

Mouser
571-174516-7 OBD1 ECU plug 26pin
571-174514-6 OBD1 ECU plug 16pin
571-174515-7 OBD1 ECU plug 22pin
571-175026-1 OBD1 Small ECU pin
571-175061-1 OBD1 Large ECU pin

hoping to keep this going, so any harness/plug information you have, feel free to expand!

ALSO, i find it cheaper to depin or cut connectors from harnesses at the junk yard and take them home and clean them with an SOS pad and order new pins. its 1-2$ where i live per plug, and 25$ for a large harness, vs 3-10$ a plug.

Well, turns out the OBD0 and OBD1 connectors for MAP/TPS and our 2 pin sensor plugs are, in fact identical, however, the OBD1 plugs fit the OBD0 sensors, (as the sensors, with the exception of the 3 wire EACV and the 4wire O2 vs single wire, are the same through '00) and the pins have a slightly easier installation, a much easier removal, and a better fit in the OBD1 plugs, so I recommend using the newer connectors.

ya know, I actually never really thought about FAQ. lol I literally spent like 4 months reading forums, looking for part numbers, and searching for retailers and wholesalers for this stuff before I found what I was looking for, and have seen several other threads searching for the same thing that either weren't answered, or where at the time, the answer was something like "good luck", so I figured I'd share the gems I've found.

That would be really nice to have a full list of distributor numbers (like Mouser) for buying harness connectors.
Your post is the first I have seen for any of them.

Default Re: Wiring Harness Information!

i havent yet found any solid info on the 2 pin plug for OBD0/1 distributor pins/sockets yet, (or the 2 large pins on the OBD2) but the small pins/sockets are the same for all of our connectors except for the alternator, and large distributor wires, they seem to work (rather snugly, due the the harder to remove pin-locks) even with the OBD0 white connectors, green/brown DPFI injectors, and the green EACV connector, but as mentioned before all the grey plugs from OBD1 fit the identical OBD0. (distributor plugs of course must be converted by re-pinning or use of a jumper)

but the the alternator pins, so far i have only found on Corsa, they are part # 250-SKT1 (for 20-14 AWG wire)

i am still working on sorting through mouser for more connectors and terminals, however due to the extensive library of parts (over 8,000,000 total just in the connectors category alone) and being listed by manufacturer (I.E. tyco, amphenel, etc) instead of common automotive usage, i still have only found the factory connectors for OBD1 ECU. the manufacturer websites for amphenol ant TE are equally extensive.also, a lot of listed products either offer no photo for comparison, or only show a generic representation. but i AM still looking when i can.

the 250-SKT1 MIGHT work for distributor (possibly with or without removal of armlock tab for large dizzy wires, havent gotten to test it yet
if they do work, then chances are that the 250-PIN1 for 20-16 AWG may work for the mating connector.

corsa-technic also now offers OBD0/OBD1 alrenator plugs AND receptacles (for OBD2 jumpers) with sockets and seals.

here is the factor plug oh harness side: 250AVR-4S
and here is the jumper side: 250AVR-4P
