i know its not the long block but i got a b16 that came in not too long ago. it was the complete swap and it weighed on the machine at like 548 or 546. thats with the pallet and everything else though. sorry i don't have the weight for the long block by itself. and i really wouldn't recommend putting it in. i think you would probably need to remove the seat then trying to get the thing back out would be a bish. try getting an old small pickup and get it that way. i just think it would be too much trouble to try to put the engine in your friends new wrx. plus fluids and everything else that the company didn't remove. could get scarry for your friend. good luck though!

nah, the wrx is an 03 only so its got lots of miles on it, and its just the block so am guessing it will only way 100-200... if the complete swap was only 548 well minus the head, trans, alternator, starter, power steering pump, exhaust manifold, intake manifold..... Sorry I guess its basically a short block. And I can have the engine drained of oil and wraped in plastic air tight.

It will fit but it willbe a bitch getting the thing through the opening for the door. The short block weighs 170 or probablly more. Personally I wouldnt put it on a seat. At least put alot of cardboard and garbage bags down. And make sure he is a good freind in case you screw up his seat.

why not remove the passenger seat and set it there. then you just sit behind the driver seat? maybe that would be a bit more easier.

you could always just find another friend who doesn't have subs in his trunk... https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

find another friend who doesnt have subs in his trunk? haha, its coming from over 8 hours from me, and hes the only person i know making such a trek in that direction anytime soon.

and i work for subaru, so i could get a new seat pretty easily. only thing is subaru parts take forever to get to canada... like one month for a rad fan!!!
