Very slow EF Sedan build!
Hey everyone, This is my first thread ever and i want to share with you my EF sedan. This 91 Civic DX was my first car and i've always loved it since the 12 day after i bought it haha, not exactly the most exiting car to start off with.
well this isn't really a build, its more like a slow series of things iv'e done that results in alot of progress and hard work. I hope you enjoy it as much as i enjoy driving it.
So ill admit when i first bought it i got bored with its looks and since i never took a 20 year old civic seriously i just messed this thing up bad, i mean i did some nasty Ricer sh!& and ended up pissing alot of Ef sedan owners off.
I don't have any pics of when i first bought it but here is how it started
I painted the bumpers white, added a bolt on exhaust tip, and for some reason a civic stencil, messed up window tint, and ugly fog lights.
I even messed up the interior
After all that i then learned about the EF Sedan Squad and was AMAZED at how good most of the sedans looked. and I got a wake up call from "MyEfSedan" a honda tech member and awesome EF Sedan builder, he straight up said my car was butchered and really criticized it and told me if i ever show this car to anyone on Honda-Tech ill just get laughed at.
So i decided to do a couple of more things to the sedan before i Presented it to the Ef Sedan Squad
I got a 91 Accord front lip and a 96 Accord spoiler, plus some pin striping.
The only Mod i did right when i was "Fixing" my car up Hks Dual tip muffler
then I moved on to the engine bay and messed Sh!# up more
After i did all that crap i presented it to the EF Sedan Squad and MyEfSedan was RIGHT! i got smashed and ridiculed, after that day i decided to take advice from some of the members and took the criticism. After that day I decided to do take the EF Sedan seriously and do things right, or at least try to...
since then i restored some of the things back to OEM like the trim and the interior, and other stuff.
one night i decided i wanted some Tacos and noticed that someone had hit my sedan!
I managed to fix most of the damage
Then i decided to try a new front lip that nobody else had and i got a Acura Legend front lip trimmed to fit, and some side skirts from some car (no pictures of it yet)
and cut the accord lip to make it look like a 94 accord 3 piece rear lip without the middle strip.
I bought a used reflector, it was cracked but it only cost me $2
Shortly after all this on my way to School My car shut off in the middle of traffic and left me stranded!
after i got it towed home i found out it had a dropped valve
I eventually saved up enough money and bought a D15b7 for $300 imported from Mexico off a 94 Civic Del Sol
I then decided to ditch the "Red" thing i had going on and at least try to match the car. so i was going to paint it white
here are some shots of the old engine coming out, I thought it was a D15b2 but i then learned that it was a ZCD16A, which i have never heard of nor has anyone else.
inspecting the clutch with the help of my neighbor
Then we dropped in the new motor and learned that it was burning oil, and coolant, you could actually scrape oil from the muffler tips!
this is a shot of us using seafoam just for fun but most of that smoke is actually oil
so we pulled out the motor and decided to rebuild it
i don't have any pictures to prove it but i used cp pistons and rebuilt the head with racing valve springs and some other awesome parts.
Then i cleaned u the bay i should have wire tucked it when i had the chance
since i wasn't driving it i cleaned up the interior a bit
after we rebuilt it we dropped it in and look at the difference! much nicer!
i kept it dpfi because lack of money for the required parts
the car runs much stronger, and better than before!
since then iv'e added a Integra center console, installed a new Kenwood Head unit, replaced that messed up spoiler, painted the bumpers with actual effort.
Volvo front lip and new center garnish,
In between all this rebuilding i replaced the Fuel pump, fuel filter, distributor, blue ngk wires, and the list goes on.
this is one with the legend lip.
Today i painted my steelies because man they were disgusting!
plus i hate non-oem hubcaps
this stuff is awesome, 6 dollars and i painted all 4 wheels with 2 coats and there is still way over halve a can left.
In person there real shiny and metallic looking
Unfortunately i ran out of light and have to wait to post the finished product with clear coat and sanded letters on the center caps.
I still need to take some updated pictures of the Sedan but until then this build is not over, I have a huge list of things i still want to do to this car.
Def more to come.

my next paycheck is going to the missing OEM side mirror and the last 2 moldings for sure!
still have to pull out a huge dent on my door though.

Not bad progress so far. I'm going to be putting together some MPFI conversion "sets" during the summer. If you'd be interested remember my name on here (I'm near the Bonita/National City area so I'm not far from you).

No worries, I have family up there so I can probably just drop it off to you when the time is right. No matter what swap you do later (if you choose to swap anyway) a MPFI conversion is going to be your first step so keep that in mind...or stay DPFI and just enjoy the car for what it is.

Haha, dang poopy, I didn't know your car was like it was before! Kinda threw up in my mouth when I saw it (no offense man), but it looks way way better. Good job man. White in the engine bay is much better than that red disaster you had going on

some stuff i forgot to post,
pic of the b7 before the rebuild, pretty disgusting.
15 year old radiator lol, that thing still kept the coolant temp down.
Blue gauge lighting

Progress
Nice meeting you by the way. If I didn't have such a busy weekend (and other cars to rape at the yards) I would've taken so much more from that sedan haha
