Default Turn signals blink fast

Ok, this has been the story ever since i bought this car. Both left and right turn signals blink fast, like twice the normal rate. I've checked all of the bulbs, replaced the flasher, still blinks fast, as if i did have a burnt bulb. I have checked and double checked the bulbs, why would it do it on bolt sides? Anyone ever run into this problem before??

Thanks
Chris

The flasher unit works off of heat generated by the current draw of the bulbs, As the bulbs draw more current, they will flash faster. My guess is that someone replaced the bulbs with higher wattage bulbs causing more current draw. Try a heavy duty flasher (the ones they use on pickups that tow trailers) Also, did you check the bulbs that are in the front corners? (The ones that come on with the parking lights and flash with the turn signals)

Either that or they blink faster to let you know they are about to go out soon.

more current = more resistance = slower flashers not faster
less resistance means faster flashers someone had to put lower watage bulbs no9t higher

They actually sell kits for about $15 on ebay. They call them hyperblinkers that do the same thing. It is pretty lame if you ask me. But now you can tell all your friends that you have it.

The corner lamps have 2 bulbs, one facing forward in the clear part, and one to the side in the amber part. The amber part is suposed to flash opposite the bumper light. It could be something as simple as bulbs are missing in the corners.
