Default Tranny fluid on clutch plate

My input shaft bearing is toast. Fluid is leaking into the bell housing and my clutch is slipping. When I replace the tranny, should I replace the clutch too? It only has about 10k km on it and is otherwise in good condition. I really can't afford to replace the clutch, but if i clean all the lube off of it with brake cleaner and it still slips with the new tranny on, well you can imagine the headache of pulling everything apart once more time to replace a clutch. Thanks
