Default Timing Belt shredding- pic included

This is my 91 CRX that has a z6/b7 mini me installed. After some distributor issues and replacing the valve cover gasket and grommets, i put everything back together, fired her up and SMOKE and timing belt everywhere.

This is what it looks like now:

I'm thinking I might have dropped a screw down it or something. What do you guys think?

Also, how hard is it gonna be to take off the bottom cover to check?

No but you need to pull the driver side mount off to put the new belt on

I hope you replaced your tensioner too, if the belt has to come off do both as a set

So this whole problem is fixed.

Ever since it started running again it has a weird "whine".

Whenever I shift the whine Sounds like it whines down.
It doesn't whine if I step on the gas in neutral. Any ideas?
Also, my hids turn off soon as I step on the gas. Thanks for any help!

So in gear, it makes noise? Could be a gear/synchro, Check Transmission. Common for a Synchro set to be needed.

Contact Synchrotech.
