Default Swapping suspentions

ok so i seen this in another post while i was searching...

"The shock diameter, and thus the fork size, is bigger on EG and DC than EF and DA's. In order to fit smaller diameter shocks on the del sol, he must have used EF/DA forks. Other than the diameter, the forks are exactly the same." Thanks Tyson.

now that i have the information for the front, what would i need to do to make an eg rear shock fit?

Thanks in advance
