STD Civic under Wrap
Hey All,
Just had my Civic Vinyl Wrapped by a friend last week. It turned out very good and I am very pleased with it! 3M Vinyl was used and I have been driving the car the last couple of days and it is doing very well, even through high construction zones. Hopefully it will last for awhile. For the price I paid for everything, I was very pleased! It was very affordable!
Also, picked up an aftermarket Car Bra and used a CIVIC decal that I picked up to make it look more OEM. It looks pretty good.

It was actually very affordable. I paid around $300 for the wrap and my friend did it for very cheap since he is practicing his skills. My paint looked very bad before this, so I decided to give it a shot. So far I am very pleased.

Your CRX looks great! How long ago did you wrap it? Have you experienced any peeling or gouges in the vinyl wrap? Just wondering how durable it is.

i wrapped mine early this year. I use Oracle premium cast vehicle wrap vinyl, not 3m. I have a few stone chips on the front but its holding up great. I do have a gouge on one fender edge where the door hit it when I was aligning it. I hit it with a heat gun and flattened it down but you'd never see it unless i pointed it out. Its holding up well and i've run it through the car was a bunch of times now. Shines great. It looks nice still and its been about 6 months or so. Ive driven almost 7000 miles with it on and havent had any issues. Tons of people said Id end up with bubbles all over the place after letting it sit in the sun but I have yet to find any. As long as you didnt use cheap calendar vinyl you should be fine.

Used to wrap cars and if done right looks as good as paint. All about the quality of the install and the vinyl used. Using a clear laminate when the vinyl is made is key. And to the bubble comment many vinyls have air release holes built in unlike window tint so that you dont have those issues.

The wrap looks awesome. As far as this versus paint is tough. Especially with the difficulty and fine detail required for cutting and trimming a wrap...
