Default Spark plugs are soaked with oil on 89 Civic LX

I just bought this car, and did a tuneup today, but found that the old spark plugs were soaked in oil when i took them out. It doesn't burn any blue smoke either. What could have caused this?

The car runs perfectly fine too.

And, if I bought a new motor for this car, how much would a d16a cost me, and where would I go to get one?

Unless of course the oil is on the spark side.

yup.. same thing happen w/ my accord. go to honda and get 4 "spark plug valve cover rubber gaskets"

as for a new motor fully rebuild. go to exsopeed.com they cost about $1400, but comes w/ new everything and also D16a1(integra Pistions & rods) much stronger and a little bit higher compression.

you should be able to find d16a6 engines for cheap...people are swapping them out all the time, i wouldn't expect to pay anymore that $300 for a complete engine and tranny with relatively low miles (keep in mind they are over 10 years old)

honestly i would say though, if you have the extra money you might as well swap in something badass while you are going through all the hassle, unless you have no intention of modifying your car....i sure wasn't going to do a damn thing when i started now look at me

I have no intention of modifying this car. I have a turbo integra for my quick car. I just want this car to be healthy and run well to get me through the cold wisconsin winters.
