Spark Plugs (moronic noob question)
It's tune up time. Ive had ngk v-powers, but I want somethimg better. Ive heard that copper plugs are great, so im stuck between platinum +4's or bosch coppers- what is the better plug? Thanks

Re: Spark Plugs (Ef Whore)
I personally only use ngk plugs so I would stick with the ngks whether they are platinum or copper.

Re: Spark Plugs (91civic)
Yea personally i'd stick with the NGK's they do a great job, I even see alot of heavily modded honda motors still run them. I've also seen some cases where people have put plugs other than NGK's into hondas and the cars ran like poo, but those are sorta rare.

Re: Spark Plugs (habib_88)
I just replaced plugs in my Si with brand new NGK coppers. $6.68 for 4 owns me. If you dont like changing plugs and need a platinum, get Bosch Plats (NOT that 2 or 4 prong shit). Advance quoted me $1.99 for those or $1.59 for NGKs. Good deal for both brands.

Re: Spark Plugs (RaceFacer)
still though what advantage over basic ngk's do the coppers give you? where can i find these besides pep boys, they only have bosch coppers. im in nj.

Re: Spark Plugs (Ef Whore)
I think the basic NGKs are the coppers. Copper has a better spark but doesn't last as long. But if your like me I change plugs every year which is like 1/3 of the life of them anyway. Platinum lasts longer, but doesn't have as good a spark.

is this really true? |
Re: Spark Plugs (Ef Whore)
I work for a Honda dealership, and all that we put in our cars is NGK. Everytime we get a car in with other plugs it runs like crap, as soon as we put ngk's back in it runs great. You can get them at any Honda dealer, that's all they will stock.

Re: Spark Plugs (90ef)
Stick with NGK's. Thats all Honda uses on their cars.... I put some NKG Iridium's in my car, they seem to work ok.... http://rely.net/~htimages/smile/emsmile.gif
