you sure you put it at .44? or do you mean .044? I have mine set at .025 now, and it seems to work damn good. I called up Autozone and they told me .013, which didn't seem right, and Advanced Auto said .44 as well (like you), and my friends Talon is .020, so I decided to put it at .025, runs like a kitten. The only problem I had was getting out the 2nd spark plug (it won't move at all, probably cross threaded), so I'll eventually need to take it to a shop and get it drilled out or something.
