What a headache this car has been. Road block after road block. It was all my fault in poor planning. I guess I never realized how big -16 fittings were. Had to send my radiator back out to get the bung relocated. Will pick it back up on Monday. Then had to exchange some fittings so just waiting for new ones to come in. We are finally so close to being back on the road finally.

Sometimes you really just want to burn the car down next stop is to my fabricators house. Obviously my “measurements” are way off

I'm not planning on it. Maxwellmercer was running one (water/oil, though) on his turbo B-series, but it didn't work like he had hoped. His thread is over in the FI section. Are you having high oil temperatures, or low pressures or something?

I had another question I just thought of after browsing the thread again - you said new carpet thanks to HMO - I'm guessing they only come across JDM / RHD carpets? Man I would LOVE to get a new-ish set of OEM floor mats for my EG coupe, but they're pretty difficult to come across without a hole worn in them or a big stain or something.

I’m just looking at air cooled coolers. Think I’m going to test it out. I’m just trying to keep over all temps down on this build.

I would call hmo about the carpet. They might have something for you. The one I got wasn’t new it was used but was very clean. At least a lot cleaner than my current one I had in the car.

Just picked this up to test fitment. Looks like it will work the way I’m planning on running lines/cooler.

My sunroof never worked ever since I owned the car. Finally took the time to diagnose it and found out I was missing 2 of the 4 bump stops. Plus the 2 that I had were broken. Did some research and found gregparts. He 3D prints new ones. Got them on and now I have a working sun roof

Updated engine bay pic. New downstar hardware went with black beauty washers and gold zinc bolts. Also finally took care of my windshield cowl. Was missing bolts and clips on it before. Now it’s all secured. Still have more parts on the way for this thing. Really liking how it’s all coming together.

Car was down for a minute. Drove it to work one day and had a grind going into 3rd and 4th. I feared the worse. Located a used zc trans from hushperformance. Finally once I received the trans from them decided to take my car apart and pull the trans with the grind apart only to find a broken shift fork. Took apart the hush trans pulled the shift forks and swapped them into the zc trans. Put it all back together and the car has been running pretty good. I am gaining more and more confidence in it

Nice fix. FYI I am 99% sure the shift fork assembly from the other cable D-series transmissions will work in a ZC transmission. I know it will work the other way around (ZC forks in an Si transmission). I had a broken fork in my Si transmission and stole the fork set out of my ZC transmission about 10 years ago and have been driving the Si transmission like that since.

yeah you’re right. Found that out after I bought the second trans.

Damn that looks good. Ever think about painting the bottom of the fender black to match the rest of the trim? Just looks outa place.

Today did work on the crx. Finally cleaned out the drain tubes for the sunroof. Pretty sure they’ve never been done before.

Also painted the lower part of the tracklife fenders black so now it matches. Was nice to finally have some time to work on her.
