hey what sup all?? well my problem is that im trying to change my shifter to a short shifter and im having trouble trying to take it out i removed the bolts from the bottom of the car and removed my center console and the rubber botts but the shifter does not want to come off?? what else do i have to do ?? and how can i do it ?? if anyone has any illustrations and tips on how to do it pls help me out thanks... i did a search but most of the stuff that came out was almost useless. btw i have a 90 si . alright guys hope to hear from u guys soon.

it is a lot easier if you drop the whole shift linkage and torque rod. thats what ii did after bustin my knuckles for a couple hours and it took me about 5 min to change the shifter with it outside
