Seats for 1991 CRX
We bought my daughter a 1991 CRX she loves. shortly after buying it someone broke in and stole a bunch of parts. we have replaced most of them but I am having a hard time tying to figure out how to replace her passenger seat with seatbelt and the actual bracket that attaches to the floor. Should I try to buy new compatible (are there even compatible seats and brackets on a car this old) seats and replace both front seats??? really just looking for ideas or some direction to move in.... Thanks in advance!

I sent you a private message. Thats too bad about the crx getting broken into. Its not too hard to find used parts for these cars in my opinion, so dont worry yourself too much.

Yes, passenger seats are relatively easy still, I believe. Though people have figured out that you can swap over seat parts from passenger to driver's side, so getting a good quality seat may be an issue. A little foam and repairs of the cover wouldn't cost too much, though.

If you know someone who's marginally decent at basic metal fab, 4th gen Prelude seats (which are still occasionally available at junk yards) have very similar mount points and the belt latch works flawlessly with the original belt. My brother and I were able to securely put them in a civic hatch and only needed to adapt the outboard mounts, though I think the CRX inboard rear mount is different from a hatch? They are, incidentally, fantastic seats for driving like a lunatic. I love them.
Point being that you may have more options than you realize, depending on what kinds of friends you have!

oem seat pairs in decent shape are routibnely running 300 bucks and up, for SI style oem seats in good shape.
Pan/railss are a little different thru the years.
88-89 with body pillar mount seat belts have different pans then 90-91 with door mount belts.
also, hatches vs crx are different, and genreally hatch seat pans won't work on a crx
I bought a auction 89 HF a few years ago theft recovered, and you guess it seats had been stolen. Had a hard time coming up with something to work, ended up finding some nasty 88-89 style oem seats, bought them for almost 180 just to get the rails and pans, then at a junkyard I found some nice 90'/92 ish integra seats, and ended up using the foams and fabric from the integra seats, and fastened them to the pans of the nasty crx seats.
whoeever said parts are easy to get for these, is WRONG. . Not cheap, and not easy at all,
This new to your daughter CRX, is going to be a magnet for theft and break0ins, be warned, have some extra door window glass laying around for yours when it happens/.
Put the cheapest crappyiest radio in it you can cause that is the item they want, oh and seats, oh and the whole car.
