my car wasnt doing this sunday. i start my 91 ef up to go to school and it idles fine. go to drive it bogs and runs like crap then starts shaking and stalls. anyone kno possible problems i can look for. the oil and fluids have been maintained. it has 205,000 k on it. 91 4door lx

check every spark component on it - ohms, watts, volts whatever

and what do you mean ball a,"stall?" Does it just die?

Look into a tune up, and check your distributor timing.

also have your alternator and battery tested

After it bogs and stalls, what happens when you turn it back on? Does it only bog and stall when you are idling or does it stall out when you are driving as well?

I'm thinking it may be something in fuel delivery.

it will start to die down shake and then shyt off when im idleing at a stop sign or what ever. then it struggles to start back up and il rev it a few times and its fine til i start to drive again

sounds like a problem i was getting out of my 91 crx. apparently that problem is more prevalent than once thought. i posted it on here, and came up with a bunch of different solutions. my problems were just like yours..... it ran shitty, whenever i stopped at a stop sign the rpms would drop until the car shut off, then had a hard time starting back up. got so bad it wouldnt start up again for 2 years... i just garaged it, and i had just got a b16 swap. the solutions that were given to me, were main relay(given to me many times), fuel pump, fuel filter, bad grounds, dizzy. my fuel pump primed, main relay clicked, fuel pump, spark plugs, wires, grounds... replaced. it only started when one day in my garage i took apart my dizzy just to see if anything was visually wrong with it, and did a spark test... then it started right up.... been running ever since. it still bogs a little whenever i keep a constant rpm(which if anyone can tell me why it does this, i'd appreciate it) but i think its because of fouled plugs. you can probably just check one of those before it goes to ****. i hope i helped

im gonna try the plugs 1st to see if that helps. hopefully thats the only problem because nothing was giving me any problems before yesterday cuz it drove fine =/

i would check the plugs, make sure youre getting good spark to everything distributor too. hopefully its nothing more complicated than that a friend of mine had a similar issue and it turned out to be a sensor problem.
