No particular trouble. It is just tight to work in there, just like any other car i guess.

Remove belt
remove bolts
take out pump
install in reverse order

DOn't forget to drain the radiator

im also probably gonna replace the timing belt also, do i have to replace the tensioner too? and either way i will have to take the crank pulley off to get the lower TB cover off. i know the pulley bolt is gonna be a bitch, any ideas on best way to go about that? put car in gear and press brakes? i dont have that special tool and i know it would be extremely helpful but im trying to save as much cash as i can here....

If you work on your car alot I suggest u get some air tools...buy some cheap compressor with impact wrench

I used this impact wrench and the crank bolt came right off in 3 secs.

i know this is a dumb question but what happens when a pump can go bad? I learn things as they come along.

The circulation of coolant will stop flowing throughout the motor, leading to overheating, and engine damage if not fixed asap.

i think he means what causes it to stop flowing. since the water pump is all mechanical, if the belt is still running on the gears of the waterpump, how isnt anything flowing on the other end?

I have seen some pumps that were so corroded that some of the fins on the impeller were gone.....I guess that would slow down the flow of coolant.
